Niagara Falls - synopsis

NIAGARA FALLS – a dark thriller by W. Keith Sewell

A disgruntled gun lobbyist commits suicide from the top of Niagara Falls after he witnesses the massacre of a hundred innocent people at the world's largest shopping mall - including his wife. But something strange happens to him on the way down that earns him a chance at redemption.

SHERMAN DUKES, the world’s most renowned gun lobbyist, was on a hot streak of good luck. After orchestrating the defeat of the POTUS’ latest Gun bill, he lobbies Congress about the imminent dangers that lurk with taking away the people's right to arm themselves – to the teeth- if they choose to do so.

He feels pretty proud of himself. Too bad his wife, ALICE, and daughter don’t feel the same way. But not his young son DREW, he’s a chip off the old man’s dick for sure.

After a second massacre in as many weeks, Sherman takes to drinking – a lot. He tries to stave off the haunting feeling that this is ‘all his fault’. But his wife’s dying words continue to haunt him daily –

         “Sherman...you did this.

His daughter, SAM, hasn’t spoken three words to him since his wife's funeral, and he has all but alienated his confused and withdrawn son.

Sherman gets the feeling that everyone would be better off if he were no longer here.

So he jumps... and the rest is history.
